Apply for change or cancellation of conditions of resource consent or a consent notice

Use this form to apply to change or remove condition(s) of an existing resource consent or a consent notice. This application relates to Sections 127 and Section 221 of the RMA.

You need to pay a deposit when you submit this application, unless you are an approved credit customer. Payment options include credit or debit card, Online EFTPOS, or Account2Account. A card payment fee of 1.75 per cent will apply for credit or debit card payments.


Guidelines for consent applications


Before you apply, make sure:

  • documents are provided in PDF format, not locked or password protected
  • documents are less than 300MB and follow our file naming conventions
  • drawings are presented in landscape view
  • you have a copy of the original resource consent decision and approved plans for this application
  • a copy of the consent notice (if applicable)
  • you have the consent holder’s written approval to act on their behalf (if applicable)
  • you have an Assessment of Environmental Effects
  • you have a Record of Title less than three months old (you can order one online at
